Born and raised in Tirana, Albania, Erga Halilaj is not only a well-known classical concert pianist but also a famous singer. She started her journey at 6 years of age and graduated with honors from University of Arts in Tirana, Albania. Following her graduation, Erga started her working career at the Philharmonic Orchestra of Albania, where she spent 10 years working as a pianist. After Erga was awarded a full scholarship from University of South Florida, she moved to the USA and earned her Master’s Degree in Piano Performance.

Erga has performed in countless concerts as a soloist, soloist with orchestra and chamber musician. Her wide repertoire brought her to perform at some of the most prestigious stages such as: The DiMenna Center for Classical Music (NYC), Barness Recital Hall (Tampa, FL), University of Arts Hall (Tirana, Albania), Red Hall (Pristina, Kosovo), Ministeru Victoria (Malta), Usher Hall (Edinburgh, Scotland) and others.

As a singer, Erga has performed at and won many awards in various popular music concerts and music events in her home country of Albania. She won the second place in the “Voice of Albania” in 2006, where she was awarded a scholarship to study Musical performing in Milano, Italy. Erga was also selected to represented Albania twice in Euro Vision as a backing vocalist, which in the year 2015 was able to reach the finals. Her album, “Stacioni i Fundit” (which was released in 2009) became a tremendous success and generated enormous sales in Europe and Albania in particular.

Erga’s passion for education has also taken a big portion of her career and she had the opportunity to hold a position as a piano teacher at prestigious institutions such as: The University of Arts and Jordan Misja Artistic Lyceum (Tirana, Albania), Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School (Malta) and University of South Florida (Tampa Florida).
